December 16, 1773 Boston Tea Party
About 50 Bostonians, led by Samuel Adams, dressed as Mohawk Indians and boarded three British ships loaded with tea. They destroyed over 300 crates of tea, dumping much of it directly into the harbor. It is thought by many that this even started the Revolutionary War, but it was merely a contributing factor.
